When you visit our website, your browser automatically sends information to our server. This information is stored temporarily in a log file and may include: IP address, date and time of access, name and URL of the requested file, amount of data transferred, status of the request, browser type and version, operating system, and referrer URL.
We process these data to ensure a smooth connection, for system security, and to analyse how the website is used. They cannot be attributed to a specific person.
When you use our editor, we store the puzzle data you enter (questions, answers, names, title) on our servers. These data are linked to your puzzle via a code and are used solely to provide the service. No account is required. We do not share these data with third parties.
We use technically necessary cookies, for example to store your puzzle code after payment and to enable download. These cookies are required for the website to work.
We use Stripe to process payments. Payment details (e.g. card data) are sent directly to Stripe and are not stored by us. See Stripe’s privacy policy for more information.
When you purchase via Stripe, the email address you provide at checkout is stored with your puzzle code. We use it only to send your access link and a one-time service reminder before your wedding date (legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR, performance of contract). The address is deleted automatically with your puzzle data after 180 days. You will not receive advertising without separate consent.
On the download page you may optionally provide your email address to receive your puzzle link and one-time printing tips. This only happens if you actively tick the relevant box (consent, Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). We use a double opt-in process: after signing up you receive a confirmation email, and only after you click the confirmation link do we send the tips email. You may withdraw consent at any time via the unsubscribe link in the email or by contacting us. The address is deleted with your puzzle data after 180 days at the latest.
We use PostHog (EU cloud, servers in Frankfurt) to analyse and improve the website, including session recording. No cookies are set and no data are stored in your device’s local storage. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in improving our offering (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
You have the right to access, rectify, erase, and restrict processing of your personal data, as well as data portability. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw consent at any time.
We may update this privacy policy to reflect changes in the law or in our service.
